This or That Book Tag

A huge thanks to Aubrey @ Aubrey’s Book Nook for tagging me! You can check out her post here ❤ Don’t forget to check out her blog, she is one amazing person! Without further ado now, let’s get started!

Are there rules?

Yup! And there are as follow:

  • Mention the creator of the tag (in that it is the sweet Ayunda from Tea and Paperbacks )
  • Thank the blogger who tagged you!
  • Choose one of the options, you don’t have to tell the reasons why you choose that but you can also do them if you want to.
  • Tag 10 other people to do this tag to spread the love! ❤

Alright! Let’s do this!

One: Reading on the couch or on the bed?

I actually read wherever I feel like it. Bed? Okay. Couch? Okay. It also depends on what I read. If I read on my phone or tablet, then I choose my bed. If I read in a paperback or hardback, then, couch it is.

Two: Main male or female character?

Uhhhhh… This one is hard… As long as the character is not annoying and the plot is fantastic and well-written, then I don’t particularly care if the lead character is a guy or a girl. Ugh… I think I am not doing this tag well…

Three: Sweet snacks or salty snack while reading?

DEFINITELY SWEET SNACKS! Give me something involving yogurt and biscuits and chocolate and I’ll be the happiest person alive!

Four: Trilogies or quartets?

Quartets. Just because I read a lot of trilogies, I think that more people should write quartets because… uhhh… because… the word “quartet” has…uh… a fancy ring to it… right?

Five: First person point of view or third person point of view?

I like reading from first person POV because it helps us to understand the character better and I love how third person POV gives us a better understanding of a situation as a whole, especially when there are a lot of subplots and characters. So, third person POV for the win.

Six: Reading at night or in the morning?

Honestly? I am more of a “reading-all-day” person. But it’s true that at night, I know that I am done with everything I was supposed to do, which gives me more time to relax and read at night.

Seven: Libraries or bookstores?

Bookstores; for the sole reason that libraries where I live suck.

Eight: Books that make you laugh or cry?

I would rather be laughing than crying, thank you very much. I am scared of my sanity when I start to cry…

Nine: Black book covers or white book covers?

White book covers. Because I have too many black ones.

Ten: Character driven or plot driven stories?

CHARACTER DRIVEN YAAAS! I love seeing characters evolve from chapter to chapter. So even if the plot sucks, if the characters are amazing, then the story is salvageable. But if the plot is great but the characters are annoying af, then it’s a no from me. I’m sorry. (or maybe not :p )

And that is it! Now I’m going to tag…

Kariny @ Kariny Tenn Boox Frenzy | Soudha @ Of Stacks and Cups | Sushmita @ Fervently Curious | Cath @ Trust in the Words | Miriam Michelle @ The Reading Belle | and… uh… honestly? everyone who wants to do this tag! Come on! It’s so fun!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post! I for sure enjoyed writing it! Hope to see you next time!

  1. Haha, now you know the struggle and torture of this tag! Thanks so much Mel! I love how a lot of your choices were because you are too used to the other one. I think there should be more quartets out there and I think more people should read the Giver quartet! Characters are what make a story for me. AHH so many great answers!
